Qualifications

• Must hold Texas Medication Aide certification.
• Experience with medication administration procedures.
• Clear communication, patience, and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Administer Medications: dispense prescribed PO, topical, and rectal meds per orders and policy.
• Monitor and report adverse reactions or changes in resident status.
• Document all medication administration in compliance with policies.
• Ensure safety by managing the medication cart and a hazard-free environment.
• Protect privacy by safeguarding resident information.
• Adhere to infection control procedures during medication administration.
• Report medication errors immediately to the Charge Nurse.
