Job summary

Camellia Gardens Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in North Carolina seeks a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join our resident-centered team. You will accurately prepare, administer, and document medications, verify orders, and ensure patient safety under supervision.

We value confidentiality, strong communication, and teamwork. CPR and NC CMA credentials are required; prior experience with the elderly population is a plus in our fast-paced facility.

Qualifications

• Current North Carolina CMA certification and CPR certification.
• Clear verbal and written English communication.
• Ability to work with residents, families, and healthcare team.
• Demonstrated confidentiality and professional conduct.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and safely prepare, administer, and document medications for residents as ordered.
• Verify physician orders and ensure correct resident identity prior to administration.
• Document refusals or omissions and report discrepancies to nursing staff.
• Assist with medication documentation and charting as directed.
• Monitor inventory and ensure adequate floor stock of medications and supplies.
• Order prescribed medications and supplies following facility procedures.
• Verify narcotic records during shift and maintain accurate logs.
• Follow disposal policies for medications and report any discrepancies.
• Maintain compliance with physician orders and stop-order policies in records.
• Collaborate with Nurse Supervisor and care team to support resident safety.
