Qualifications

• Holds a current Texas Medication Aide certification.
• Experience and competence in medication administration procedures.
• Clear communication and professionalism in a team setting.
• Attention to detail and accurate documentation.

Responsibilities

• Administer Medications: dispense prescribed PO, topical, and rectal medications per orders and policy.
• Monitor and Report: observe adverse reactions or changes in resident status and report them.
• Document Accurately: record all medication administration in compliance with policies.
• Ensure Safety: maintain control of the medication cart and a safe environment.
• Protect Privacy: safeguard resident information.
• Adhere to Infection Control: follow infection control procedures during administration.
• Report Errors: promptly report any medication errors to the Charge Nurse.
