• Requires Texas Medication Aide certification and experience in medication administration procedures.

Responsibilities

• Administer Medications: dispense prescribed PO, topical, and rectal meds per orders and policy.
• Monitor and Report: observe adverse reactions or changes in resident status.
• Document Accurately: record all medication administration per policies.
• Ensure Safety: maintain control of medication cart and a hazard-free environment.
• Protect Privacy: safeguard resident information.
• Adhere to Infection Control: follow procedures during medication administration.
• Report Errors: promptly report any medication errors to Charge Nurse.
