Qualifications

• Current Texas Medication Aide certification.
• Experience with medication administration procedures.
• Ability to document accurately and timely.
• Strong attention to detail and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications (PO, topical, rectal) per orders and policy.
• Monitor for adverse reactions and changes in resident status; report as needed.
• Document all medication administration in compliance with policies.
• Maintain medication cart control and ensure a safe environment.
• Safeguard resident privacy and confidentiality of information.
• Follow infection control procedures during medication administration.
• Report any medication errors immediately to the Charge Nurse.
