Lubbock Health Care Center is seeking a Certified Medication Aide to join our dedicated team. You will administer prescribed medications, monitor residents for adverse reactions, document all administrations, and maintain a safe, confidential environment for residents in our community setting.

The ideal candidate holds a Texas Medication Aide certification, demonstrates reliability and clear communication, and works collaboratively with nursing staff to ensure compassionate and accurate resident

Qualifications

• Holds a current Texas Medication Aide certification.
• Experience and competence in medication administration procedures.
• Clear communication and professionalism; attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Administer Medications: Dispense prescribed PO, topical, and rectal meds per orders and policy.
• Monitor and Report: Observe for adverse reactions or changes in resident status.
• Document Accurately: Record all medication administration in compliance with policies.
• Ensure Safety: Maintain control of the medication cart and a hazard-free environment.
• Protect Privacy: Safeguard confidentiality of resident information.
• Adhere to Infection Control: Follow procedures during medication administration.
• Report Errors: Immediately report any medication errors to the Charge Nurse.
