Qualifications

• Must hold a Texas Medication Aide certification and be current.
• Experience with medication administration procedures and documentation.
• Demonstrates clear communication, patience, discipline, and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed PO, topical, and rectal medications per orders and policy
• Monitor for adverse reactions and changes in resident status and report promptly
• Document all medication administration in accordance with policies
• Maintain the medication cart safely and ensure a hazard-free environment
• Protect resident privacy and confidentiality
• Follow infection control procedures during administration
• Immediately report any medication errors to the Charge Nurse
