Deering seeks a Certified Medication Aide to join our care team on site in Texas. You will administer prescribed medications, monitor resident status, document accurately, and maintain a safe medication environment while protecting patient privacy.

Qualifications

• Holds a current Texas Medication Aide certification
• Experience and competence in medication administration procedures
• Clear communication with patience, professionalism and attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed PO, topical and rectal medications per physician orders and company policy
• Monitor for adverse reactions or changes in resident status and report promptly
• Document all medication administration in accordance with policies
• Maintain control of the medication cart and ensure a safe environment
• Protect resident privacy and confidentiality of information
• Follow infection control procedures during medication administration
• Immediately report any medication errors to the Charge Nurse
