Job summary

HMG Healthcare is seeking a Certified Medication Aide to support our residents by safely administering prescribed medications in accordance with state rules and facility policies. You will work closely with nurses to monitor residents and report adverse effects, while maintaining confidentiality and accurate records.

Requirements include a high school diploma, state-approved Medication Aide training, Kansas certification, and a background check; bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a state-approved Medication Aide training program.
• Current Kansas Medication Assistant certification/licensure.
• Knowledge of medication administration principles and safety.
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications to residents as prescribed.
• Observe and document responses to medications and report concerns.
• Maintain accurate medication records and logs.
• Assist in organization of medication carts and supplies.
• Explain medication schedules to residents with dignity and privacy.
