Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Texas is seeking a licensed Medication Aide to assist in administering medications to residents as ordered by the attending physician under the supervision of the Nursing Director and Nursing staff.

You will follow facility policies, accurately prepare and document medications, verify resident identity, report errors, and participate in QA activities to improve medication safety and compliance with state regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Licensed Medication Aide with state-approved training and exam.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general regulations.
• Ability to write reports and communicate with managers.
• Mathematical skills for fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions.
• Reasoning to solve practical problems in a clinical setting.

Responsabilités

• Follow facility policies and procedures governing medication administration.
• Accurately prepare, administer, and document medications for residents.
• Verify residents' identities before medication administration.
• Document and report any medication errors or adverse reactions.
• Participate in Quality Assurance programs and medication-related committees.
• Assist in maintaining proper labeling, charting, and drug disposal practices.
