Job summary

Evergreen Healthcare Group is seeking a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to administer prescribed medications to residents and maintain related medical records under supervision of a Nurse. The ideal candidate will be energetic, clinically sound, and committed to delivering quality care to residents entrusted to us.

Essential duties include verifying resident identity, administering medications, taking vital signs, documenting non-administered medications, managing medication supplies, and

Qualifications

• Must hold CNA certification in the state of employment for at least one year.
• Medication Technician Certification will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Verifies identity of resident receiving medication and records drug name, dosage, and time of administration on forms.
• Presents medication to resident and observes ingestion or administration.
• Takes vital signs.
• Documents reasons prescribed drugs are not administered.
• Receives supply of ordered medications and prepares them for administration.
• Record and restock medication inventories.
