Job summary

Evergreen Healthcare Group is seeking a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to administer prescribed medications to residents and maintain related medical records under supervision of a Nurse. The ideal candidate will be energetic and clinically sound, with a passion for providing quality care to residents we are entrusted to care for.

The role includes verifying resident identity, taking vital signs, restocking inventories, and documenting medication administration.

Qualifications

• Certification in the state of employment as a Certified Nursing Assistant for one year.
• Medication Technician Certification accepted.

Responsibilities

• Verifies identity of resident receiving medication and records drug details.
• Presents medication to resident and observes ingestion or administration.
• Takes vital signs.
• Documents reasons prescribed drugs are not administered.
• Receives supply of ordered medications and prepares drugs for administration.
• Record and restock medication inventories.

Essential Functions:

• Verifies identity of resident receiving medication and records name of drug, dosage, and time of administration on specified forms or records.
• Presents medication to resident and observes ingestion or other application, or administers medication, using specified processes.
• Takes vital signs
• Documents reasons prescribed drugs are not administered.
• Receive supply of ordered medications and apportion, mix, or assemble drugs for administration to resident.
• Record and restock medication inventories.

Knowledge, Skills, and Requirements:

• Certification in the state of employment as a Certified Nursing Assistant for one year.
• Will consider applicants with Medication Technician Certification
