Otterbein SeniorLife is seeking a skilled Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join our patient-centered team. You will assist the licensed nurse in administering medications, monitor residents, and document care in accordance with policy and state regulations.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED required.
• Certification: CMA certification issued by Ohio Board of Nursing.
• Licensure: Ohio CMA active certification; CPR and active CNA/STNA certification.
• Experience: At least 12 months of direct care as CNA/STNA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with preparing and administering medications as ordered by physician.
• Administer prescribed medications per state regulations and policy.
• Observe residents for adverse reactions and report concerns to the nurse.
• Record vital signs and document medication administration promptly.
• Administer PRN medications after nurse assessment and delegation.
• Communicate deviations in medication administration to the nurse.
• Provide care in activities of daily living as needed.
• Maintain clean, organized medication rooms and carts.
• Follow regulations to protect health and safety.
