Spanish Cove Retirement Village is seeking a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join our Assisted Living team. The CMA will provide medication support, personal care, and mobility assistance to residents in a compassionate, respectful setting.

Shifts are 5:45pm-6:15am on 12-hour schedules, with rotating days and every other weekend plus holidays. We offer PTO, holiday pay, bonuses, 401(k) matching, and ongoing education opportunities.

Qualifications

• Weekend and holiday availability required.
• Ability to lift, move, and transfer up to 50 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Experience as CNA or completion of CNA program is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly residents, including showering, bathing, dressing, and eating.
• Assist residents with taking prescribed medications and ambulation.
• Support mobility to appointments and activities.
• Plan and assist with meals and basic home chores.
• Assist with physical therapy exercises and daily living activities.
• Document and report any incidents or emergencies promptly.

Job Title: Certified Medication Aide (CMA)

Department: Assisted Living

Pay Rate: $16.00

Hours: 5:45pm-6:15am (12- hour shifts, 3 days. Rotating days during the week, with every other weekend required. This position will work weekends & holidays)

Responsibilities:

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries, or accidents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing, and eating
• Help clients take prescribed medication and assist clients with ambulation
• Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks, etc.)
• Plan and prepare meals
• Assist with physical therapy exercises
• Complete client’s shopping or accompanies them to do so successfully
• Perform housekeeping duties
• Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
• Offer activities that areessential for daily living by assisting patients with their meals, including serving and other tasks, if necessary

Qualifications:

• Must be able to work weekends & holidays.
• Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills.
• Frequent lifting & moving. Must have the ability to lift, move, & transfer 50lbs with the physical capability to perform all job-related duties.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation every single day
• Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner
• Available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends
• Willingness to enforce health and safety standards
• Supportive and compassionate
• High School Diploma or equivalent/Experience as a Caregiver, CNA,or completion of a CNA Program
• Take pride in providing high-quality care
• Hoyer Lift Experience (specific to client)
