Job summary

Good Samaritan is seeking a Medication Assistant to provide resident-centered care under the supervision of a charge nurse at our Canistota facility. You will administer medications, assist with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and document care outcomes in collaboration with nursing staff.

Responsibilities include helping residents with transfers, meals, and mobility, supporting wellness programs, and ensuring a clean, safe living environment.

Qualifications

• Must have CNA certification where applicable; state-specific CMA/TMA requirements are listed in posting.
• Experience in long-term care and caring for seniors.
• Ability to document care and communicate changes to nursing staff.
• Willingness to participate in wellness and recreational activities.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse.
• Provide resident-centered daily living assistance.
• Document outcomes of care, vitals, and medication administration.
• Assist with transfers, range-of-motion and mobility as directed.
• Support housekeeping, dining, and program activities.
