Job summary

Primrose Retirement Communities in Council Bluffs, IA is hiring a Certified Medication Aide to administer routine medications and assist residents with daily living in accordance with state regulations and Primrose policy.

The role collaborates with the nursing team to support resident well-being, requires current Medication Aide certification, CPR/First Aid, weekend/holiday rotation, and strong organization with good computer skills. Full-time, evening/night shifts available.

Qualifications

• Experience in long-term care or assisted living environment is preferred.
• Current certification as a Medication Aide or Assistant or Qualified Medication Administration Person per state regulations.
• Maintain CPR/First Aid certification per state regulations.
• Attends in-service training and maintains continuing education hours if required for certification of position.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to prioritize responsibilities.
• Knowledge of Alzheimer’s Disease, other dementias, and related memory impairments is preferred.
• Demonstrates ability to work as a team.
• Basic knowledge of computer software and programs.
• Able to work weekends and holidays on a rotating basis.

Responsibilities

• Administer routine medications to residents in accordance with state regulations and Primrose policy.
• Collaborate with nursing staff and other departments to support resident well-being and efficient care.
• Assist with activities of daily living and participate in resident programs as assigned.
