Providence Park Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing in Tyler, TX is hiring full-time Certified Medication Aides (CMA) to join a dedicated care team. You will administer oral and topical medications under physician orders and nurse supervision, following state and federal regulations and facility policies.

Qualifications

• State certification as a nurse aide is required
• State approved medication administration certification
• Complete familiarity with duties of a certified nurse aide
• Highly developed observation skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills

Responsibilities

• Administers medication as ordered by a physician under the supervision of a licensed nurse, in accordance with state and federal regulations and facility policy.
• Demonstrates knowledge of the five rights of medication administration.
• Records the administration of medications and/or treatments appropriately.
• Observes for and reports any reactions/side effects of medications to a licensed nurse on the appropriate shift.
• Administers PRN medications in accordance with state and federal regulations and facility policy.
