Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Completed CMA training.
• Maryland CMA licensure (required).
• Maryland Competency Examination for the Geriatric Nursing Assistant may be required.
• Strong communicator and good interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Accurately prepare, administer, and document oral/topical medications.
• Verify orders and resident identity before administration.
• Assist with medication charting and stock supplies.
• Maintain resident medical records and logs with nursing staff.
• Provide basic nursing care and assist with meals and positioning.
• Report medication issues and discrepancies to supervisors.
