Job summary

Good Samaritan is seeking a Medication Assistant to provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance at our Velva, ND facility. You will administer medications as delegated, monitor residents, and support daily activities under a charge nurse’s supervision.

The role requires CNA certification with state board registration and prior long-term care experience. This position may involve travel within a 75-mile radius and a variety of shifts, including weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 months experience in Long Term Care preferred (6 months preferred).
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Active CNA certification required in state of practice with ability to obtain CMA/TMA where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under supervision.
• Administer prescribed medications as delegated within scope of practice.
• Document outcomes related to care, medication, behavior, activity, and diet.
