Jaybird Senior Living in Dubuque, IA, is seeking a compassionate Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to support residents with medications and daily care. You will document, monitor changes, and coordinate with healthcare staff to ensure safe, high-quality care.

The role requires CMA certification in good standing and at least 6 months of caregiving experience, preferably with seniors. Strong communication, teamwork, and physical endurance are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Must hold CMA certification in good standing.
• At least 6 months of caregiving experience, preferably with seniors.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to meet physical requirements, lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Commitment to HIPAA and resident confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per nursing standards.
• Document medications, monitor residents, and report changes to staff.
• Assist with vital signs, labs, and family/provider communications.
• Support daily living activities and mobility for residents.
• Maintain a clean, safe, welcoming environment.
• Collaborate with Healthcare Coordinator (HCC) on training, documentation, and incident reporting.
• Respond promptly to resident and visitor needs with professionalism and compassion.
