Sanford Health seeks a Medication Assistant to provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of a charge nurse.

You will assist with activities of daily living, document vital signs, support meals, and administer medications as delegated under state regulations. A CNA certification and ongoing CE credits are required.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 18 preferred.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• Yearly competency testing and continuing education credits required annually.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care under supervision of a charge nurse.
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Obtain and record vital signs and document care and medication administration.
• Assist with meals, dining, and hydration; support wellness activities.
• Administer prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse.
• Communicate changes in condition and care concerns to the charge nurse.
