Qualifications

• Hold state nurse aide certification.
• Hold state medication aide certification.
• State approved medication administration certification.
• Familiar with duties of certified nurse aide.
• Strong observation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications under physician orders and nurse supervision.
• Follow five rights of medication administration.
• Record administration of medications and treatments.
• Observe for reactions and report side effects to a licensed nurse.
• Administer PRN medications per policy.
