Job summary

Care Initiatives in Iowa is seeking Certified Medication Aides (CMA) to join our compassionate care team across more than 40 skilled nursing communities. You’ll support daily living activities, monitor residents, administer medications, and collaborate with families and the healthcare staff to uphold residents’ dignity and independence.

This full-time day position offers a competitive wage with shift differential, benefits including medical, dental, vision, PTO, and retirement options.

Qualifications

• Must hold Iowa CNA certification or be able to activate.
• Must hold Iowa Medication Aide certification or be able to activate.

Responsibilities

• Support daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming, eating) and pass medications.
• Deliver emotional support and companionship to residents.
• Provide health monitoring and routine vital checks.
• Interact with residents, families, and healthcare team.
• Encourage resident recreational and therapeutic activities.
• Adhere to infection control protocols to maintain a clean, safe environment.
