UTMB Health is seeking a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) at Coffield Unit to support nursing staff by distributing medications, performing basic patient care and contributing to a safe, therapeutic environment within a correctional facility.

The CMA works under supervision to collect data, monitor vital signs, assist with activities of daily living, manage hygiene, and help with specimen collection and point-of-care testing while upholding privacy and ACA/ institutional standards.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in patient care and medication assistance preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Collect vital signs, document data and assist with specimens.
• Perform point-of-care testing and support nursing staff in care delivery.
• Assist with activities of daily living and personal hygiene.
• Distribute medications and maintain medication safety within a correctional facility.
• Ensure patient privacy and maintain accurate documentation in the pharmacy system.
• Support safety and compliance under ACA standards and facility policies.
