Job summary

Chandler Care Center seeks a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to administer prescribed medications under RN/LPN supervision and assist with daily living activities. You will monitor medication effects, document accurately, and provide compassionate, quality care in a facility setting.

Responsibilities include documenting medication administration, observing for changes, and communicating with healthcare team. Requires CMA certification, CNA as applicable, and CPR/BLS per employer policy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current CNA certification may be required by state.
• Current CMA certification required.
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or required by employer.
• Knowledge of medication administration procedures and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications according to physician orders and facility policies.
• Accurately document medication administration and maintain medication records.
• Observe patients for medication effectiveness, adverse reactions, or changes in condition and report concerns to the licensed nurse.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and eating, as needed.
• Measure and record vital signs when required.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning of residents.
• Ensure medication carts and supplies are clean, organized, and properly stocked.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
• Follow infection control, safety, and medication administration protocols.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, nurses, physicians, and other healthcare team members.
• Respond promptly to resident needs and emergency situations.
