SUMMARY

Job summary

Heritage Inn Statesboro is seeking a dedicated full-time Medication Aide to administer physician-ordered medications and deliver essential patient care in a compassionate setting. The role supports residents through routine care, charting, and adherence to clinical guidelines.

You will work within a team to ensure safe medication practices, accurate documentation, and responsive communication with residents, families, and healthcare providers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified Nursing Aide in Georgia required.
• Certified Medication Aide in Georgia required.

Responsibilities

• Administer physician ordered oral, ophthalmic, topical, otic, nasal, vaginal and rectal medications.
• Administer insulin, epinephrine, and B12 per physician direction and guidelines.
• Administer medications via metered dose inhaler.
• Perform finger stick blood glucose testing following guidelines.
• Document medication administration and declinations as required.
• Report and document unusual reactions in the resident’s record.
• Store and dispose of medications properly.
• Provide routine patient care including bathing, grooming and dressing as needed.
• Complete dressing changes and report changes to the nurse.
