Job summary

Paradigm Healthcare is seeking a Certified Medication Aide to join our caring team in Texas. Under nurse supervision, you will administer various medications and document all activities in accordance with state and facility policies.

You will also assist with resident care tasks, maintain medication carts, and uphold infection control standards while treating residents with dignity and respect.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate leadership, organizational skills, and maintain a positive/professional attitude.
• Two years’ experience in Long-Term Care preferred; six months as CMA preferred.
• Strong familiarity with Point Click Care software and basic computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Under a nurse's direction, administer medications by applicable routes according to regulations and facility policy.
• Document medication administration and related tasks per policies.
• Assist with resident care duties including transfers, bathing, eating, hydration, and vital signs.
• Ensure medication cart is clean, stocked, and secured; follow infection control practices.
• Provide care with respect for residents' dignity and privacy; communicate with nursing staff and other departments.
