MediLodge of Sault Ste. Marie is seeking a Certified Medication Aide to coordinate and administer medications for residents in a skilled nursing environment. You will supervise junior staff and CNAs, ensure accurate documentation, and support physicians with procedures.

Qualifications

• Valid Medication Technician certification in the state employed.
• Valid CPR certification.
• One year experience in nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Documents the resident’s condition and nursing needs.
• Implements physicians’ orders accurately and promptly.
• Supervises, directs and evaluates junior staff and CNAs.
• Administers medications and performs treatments for assigned residents, and documents as required by regulations.
• Participates in orientation and in-service training for personnel.
• Assists physicians with tests and procedures within state nursing practice.
• Ensures supplies are used economically and equipment is cleaned and maintained.
• Reports and records pertinent observations and reactions regarding residents.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.
