Job summary

MediLodge of Richmond is seeking a Certified Medication Aide for night shift to provide safe medication administration to residents in our skilled nursing facility. You will supervise and guide clinical staff and collaborate with nurses to meet resident care plans.

The role requires a valid Medication Technician certification in the state, CPR certification, and about one year of nursing experience. We offer stable employment with a supportive team and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Valid Medication Technician certification in the state employed.
• Valid CPR certification.
• One year experience in nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Documents resident’s condition and nursing needs.
• Implements physicians’ orders accurately and promptly.
• Supervises, directs and evaluates junior staff members and CNAs.
• Administers medications and documents treatments as required by Company, and local, state and federal rules and regulations.
• Participates in orientation and in-service training for personnel.
• Assists physicians with special tests and procedures within the scope of state Nursing Practice Act.
• Ensures supplies are utilized economically and that equipment is clean and maintained.
• Reports and records pertinent observations and reactions regarding residents.

Summary

The Certified Medication Aide coordinates and administers medication to nursing home residents and provides supervision and guidance to clinical staff members.

Licenses/Certification

• Assists physicians with special tests and procedures within the scope of state specified Nursing Practice Act.
• Ensures that supplies are utilized economically and that equipment is clean and maintained in a safe manner.
• Reports and records pertinent observations and reactions regarding residents.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.
