Responsibilities
  1. Administer medications as ordered and under physician's direction
  2. Follow established standards, policies, and legal requirements for medication administration
  3. Prepare, administer, and document medications accurately and safely
  4. Complete necessary documentation promptly
  5. Ensure proper labeling, storage, and reordering of medications
  6. Create a warm, patient, and cheerful environment
  7. Participate in facility surveys by government agencies
  8. Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines
  9. Communicate effectively with nursing staff and management
Qualifications
  1. High school diploma or equivalent
  2. Licensed Certified Medication Aide in this state
  3. Knowledge of medical abbreviations, symbols, and medication terms
  4. Ability to measure, record, and report vital signs
  5. Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English
  6. Active CPR/BLS Certification
