Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, administer, and document oral and topical medications accurately and safely.
  • Ensure medications are only administered with a valid written order from a licensed physician.
  • Confirm resident identity prior to administering medication.
  • Observe and verify that medications are ingested or applied as directed.
  • Document refusals or issues with medication administration.
  • Assist with medication charting and inventory management.
  • Order medications and supplies according to facility procedures.
  • Maintain accurate narcotic records and report discrepancies.
  • Adhere to facility policies regarding medication handling, storage, and destruction.
  • Support Nurse Supervisor or Charge Nurse with delegated tasks.

Join our team at Willow Valley Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation, a member of the Alliance Health family of skilled nursing facilities and rehabilitation centers.

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join our team at Willow Valley Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation. As a CMA, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, including preparing, administering, and documenting medications. You will also be responsible for ensuring that medications are only administered with a valid written order from a licensed physician and confirming resident identity prior to administering medication.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare, administer, and document oral and topical medications accurately and safely
  • Ensure medications are only administered with a valid written order from a licensed physician
  • Confirm resident identity prior to administering medication
  • Observe and verify that medications are ingested or applied as directed

  • Order medications and supplies in accordance with facility procedures
