Job summary

Willow Valley Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Winston-Salem, NC is seeking a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join our care team. The CMA will prepare, administer, and document medications, verify physician orders, and confirm resident identity prior to administration.

Responsibilities include charting, inventory management, narcotic records, and supporting the Nurse Supervisor. A CMA/CNA in NC with CPR certification and strong communication is required.

Qualifications

• Current and active CMA and CNA certifications in North Carolina.
• Active CPR certification.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Basic computer proficiency (Word/Excel/Outlook).

• Prepare, administer, and document oral and topical medications accurately and safely.
• Ensure medications are only administered with a valid written order from a licensed physician.
• Confirm resident identity prior to administering medication.
• Observe and verify that medications are ingested or applied as directed.
• Document refusals or issues with medication administration.
• Assist with medication charting and inventory management.
• Order medications and supplies in accordance with facility procedures.
• Maintain accurate narcotic records and report discrepancies immediately.
• Adhere to all facility policies regarding medication handling, storage, and destruction.
• Support the Nurse Supervisor or Charge Nurse with delegated tasks as needed.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join our team at Willow Valley Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation. As a CMA, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, including preparing, administering, and documenting medications.
