Job Summary:

Windsor Health and Rehabilitation Center is looking for a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to administer prescribed medications to residents and maintain related medical records under the supervision of a nurse. The ideal candidate will be an energetic, clinically sound professional with a passion for providing quality care to the residents we are entrusted to care for.

Essential Functions:

• Verify the identity of the resident receiving medication and record the name of the drug, dosage, and time of administration on specified forms or records.
• Present medication to the resident and observe ingestion or other application, or administer medication using specified processes.
• Take vital signs.
• Document reasons prescribed drugs are not administered.
• Receive supply of ordered medications and apportion, mix, or assemble drugs for administration to residents.
• Record and restock medication inventories.

Knowledge, Skills, and Requirements:

• Certification in the state of employment as a Certified Nursing Assistant for at least one year.
• Successful completion of 80 hours of training approved by the state for Certified Medication Assistants.
