Job summary

Colonial Manor of Elma in Iowa is seeking a Medication Aide to join our skilled nursing team. You will administer medications, assist with Activities of Daily Living, monitor residents' conditions, and help maintain a safe, supportive environment.

We offer flexible scheduling across shifts, including full-time, part-time, and PRN, with shift differential incentives and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Unencumbered Iowa CNA certificate required.
• Iowa-approved Medication Aide training and CPR certification required.
• One year CNA and Medication Aide experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Front line of the Clinical Department ensuring residents receive medications.
• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living.
• Observe changes in residents' condition and report promptly.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for residents.
• Support ongoing education and adherence to care standards.

As a Medication Aide you are the front line of the Clinical Department. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at Colonial Manor of Elma by providing our residents with the medications they need, performing Activities of Daily Living, observing changes in condition, ensuring a safe environment, and maintaining education. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they are comfortable and safe.

To be eligible for consideration applicants should have:

As a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent, an unencumbered State of Iowa C.N.A. certificate, successful completion of State of Iowa approved Medication Aide training and C.P.R. certification. One (1) year of C.N.A. and Medication Aide experience is preferable but we are willing to invest in the right candidate.
