Colonial Manor of Elma is seeking a Medication Aide to join its caring nursing team. The role supports residents with medications, daily living activities, and monitoring changes in condition to maintain a high standard of care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Unencumbered State of Iowa CNA certificate is required.
• Successful completion of Iowa Medication Aide training and CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and assist with Activities of Daily Living.
• Observe and report changes in residents' condition.
• Maintain a safe environment and proper documentation.
• Provide education and support to residents and staff.

As a Medication Aide you are the front line of the Clinical Department. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at Colonial Manor of Elma by providing our residents with the medications they need, performing Activities of Daily Living, observing changes in condition, ensuring a safe environment, and maintaining education. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they are comfortable and safe.

To be eligible for consideration applicants should have:

As a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent, an unencumbered State of Iowa C.N.A. certificate, successful completion of State of Iowa approved Medication Aide training and C.P.R. certification. One (1) year of C.N.A. and Medication Aide experience is preferable but we are willing to invest in the right candidate.
