Job summary

Tradition Senior Living seeks a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) for the Prestonwood community to administer medications and support resident care in a luxury senior living setting.

The CMA operates under a nurse’s supervision, records vital signs, and participates in rounds to ensure safety and quality care for residents in Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care services.

Qualifications

• State certification as a nursing assistant is required.
• State approved medication administration certification - Texas CMA permit.
• Ability to read medication labels and ensure accurate administration.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• 2pm-10pm shift as CMA at Tradition - Prestonwood.
• Administer oral and topical medications under nurse supervision.
• Take and record vital signs as directed.
• Make routine rounds and promptly report changes to supervisor.
• Collaborate with Healthcare Director and care teams to support residents.

We are currently seeking aCertified Medication Aideat our Tradition - Prestonwoodcommunity. In this role, you will be responsible for administering oral and topical medications to residents under scope of practice. These tasks are performed as ordered by a physician, under the supervision of a licensed nurse, in accordance with state and federal rules and regulations, and consistent with community policies. The CMAreports directly to our Healthcare Directorwho oversees day to day operations of the community'sHealthcaredepartment.

Responsibilities...

• 2pm-10pm
• Providing the required support to assist residents
• Taking/recording vital signs, such as temperature blood-pressure as directed by medical or nursing staff
• Makes routine rounds on assigned residents in accordance with established procedures.
• Promptly communicates any significant changes in behavior or condition to supervisor.

Required...

• State certification as a nursing assistant is required
• State approved medication administration certification- Texas CMA permit
• Complete familiarity with duties of a certified nursing assistant
• Highly developed observation skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills needed
• Ability to read medication labels, etc.
