Job summary

Kruse Village is seeking a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join our caring team in Washington County. You will administer medications, monitor resident health, and collaborate with nurses and CNAs to ensure high-quality care. ADL support and compassionate interaction with residents are essential.

We value attention to detail, reliability, and respect for residents’ dignity. CPR/First Aid certification is preferred or obtainable after hire, with ongoing opportunities for training and growth.

Qualifications

• Must have active CMA certification in the state of employment.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire.
• Experience in long-term care or assisted living setting preferred.
• Familiarity with medication administration and ADL support.
• Excellent attention to detail, communication, and time management.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications and document per state regulations and policies.
• Monitor and report changes in resident health or behavior to nursing staff.
• Ensure proper storage, handling, and disposal of medications.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
• Provide emotional support and help residents maintain independence and dignity.
• Respond to call lights and resident needs with kindness and urgency.

The Role

We're seeking a reliable, compassionate, and detail-oriented CMA to join our team. As a Certified Medication Aide (CMA), your responsibilities will include:

• Accurately administering prescribed medications and documenting them per state regulations and community policies
• Monitoring and reporting changes in resident health or behavior to nursing staff
• Ensuring proper storage, handling, and disposal of medications
• Assisting residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
• Providing emotional support and helping residents maintain their independence and dignity
• Responding to call lights and resident needs with kindness and urgency

You’ll Also

• Collaborate with nurses, CNAs, and other departments to ensure consistent, high-quality care
• Assist with meal service, light housekeeping, or resident activities when needed
• Treat residents and teammates with respect, patience, and a positive attitude

Requirements

• Active CMA certification in the state of employment required
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Experience in a long-term care or assisted living setting preferred
• Familiarity with medication administration procedures and ADL support
• Excellent attention to detail, communication, and time management skills
• Ability to lift, move, and assist residents safely throughout your shift
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 40 pounds during regular duties
