Job summary

Nora Springs Care Center is seeking a Certified Medication Aide for an on-call position to support our Skilled Nursing team. You will administer medications, assist with daily living activities, observe patient changes, and help maintain a safe care environment for residents at Nora Springs Care Center.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, an Iowa CNA certificate, completed Medication Aide training, and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and an Iowa CNA certificate, plus Medication Aide training and CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications to residents as prescribed and document administration.
• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living and daily personal care.
• Observe residents for changes in condition and report to the nursing team.
• Maintain a safe environment and provide education to residents and families as needed.

As a Medication Aide you are the front line of the Clinical Department. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at Nora Springs Care Center by providing our residents with the medications they need, performing Activities of Daily Living, observing changes in condition, ensuring a safe environment, and maintaining education. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they are comfortable and safe.

To be eligible for consideration applicants should have:

As a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent, an unencumbered State of Iowa C.N.A. certificate, successful completion of State of Iowa approved Medication Aide training and C.P.R. certification. One (1) year of C.N.A. and Medication Aide experience is preferable but we are willing to invest in the right candidate.
