Job summary

Valley Vue Care Center is seeking Certified Medication Aides for on-call, PRN scheduling to support our Skilled Nursing team.

You will be responsible for administering medications, assisting with daily activities, and monitoring residents to ensure high standards of care in a supportive environment. We offer tuition reimbursement, growth opportunities, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Unencumbered Iowa CNA certificate.
• Completion of Iowa-approved Medication Aide training.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications as prescribed and document accurately.
• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living.
• Monitor health changes and report concerns to the clinical team.
• Maintain a safe and respectful environment for residents.
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care and observe infection control practices.

As a Certified Medication Aide you are the front line of the Clinical Department. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at Valley Vue Care Center by providing our residents with the medications they need, performing Activities of Daily Living, observing changes in condition, ensuring a safe environment, and maintaining education. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they are comfortable and safe.

To be eligible for consideration applicants should have:

As a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent, an unencumbered State of Iowa C.N.A. certificate, successful completion of State of Iowa approved Medication Aide training and C.P.R. certification. One (1) year of C.N.A. and Medication Aide experience is preferable but we are willing to invest in the right candidate.
