Job summary

PACS is seeking a licensed Medication Aide to assist in administering prescribed medications to residents under the supervision of the attending physician and Nursing Administration. The role requires careful documentation, adherence to policies, and collaboration with nursing staff and pharmacists.

You will participate in quality assurance activities and ensure accurate medication passes while maintaining resident safety and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret general business materials.
• Must be able to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and employees.
• Must possess, as a minimum, a high school education or its equivalent.
• Licensed Medication Aide with state-approved training and examinations.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications as ordered by the physician under supervision.
• Follow facility policies for medication administration and documentation.
• Note and report errors in medication administration.
• Maintain professional relationships with nursing staff, physicians, and pharmacists.
• Participate in QA programs and committees affecting the medication process.
• Document medication administration accurately and completely.
