Job summary

Sweetwater Care in Union, SC is seeking a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to work under the direct supervision of the charge nurse. The CMA will assist with medication administration and ensure timely, accurate med passes to support high-quality resident care at all times.

Duties include following charting guidelines for PRN documentation, reporting changes in patient condition, inventory documentation of drugs, and participating in trainings and in-services as required.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively in English through both speech and writing.
• Previous patient care experience preferred.
• Current certification for Medication Aide.

Responsibilities

• Reports promptly any change of patient condition or other concerns to Patient Care Supervisor.
• Follow charting guidelines for PRN documentation.
• Reports medication reorder.
• Participates in all assigned meetings, trainings, education and in-service as required.
• Inventory documentation of drugs on appropriate forms.
