Base pay range

$18.25/hr - $18.25/hr

Position Details

WE'RE HIRING A FULL-TIME CERTIFIED MEDICATION AIDE FOR THE DAY SHIFT. THESE ARE 12-HOUR SHIFTS.

Our pay range (CMAs) begins at $18.25 an hour & INCREASES based on your experience. The ranges cap at $21.25. The final pay rate is determined after experience verification at the facility level. Wage shift differentials are offered for 2nd/3rd shifts. Pay is issued weekly, every Friday.

Summary

Administration and documentation of physician-ordered medications, treatments, and point of care testing following established clinical guidelines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Administer physician-ordered oral, ophthalmic, topical, otic, nasal, vaginal, and rectal medications.
• Administer insulin, epinephrine, and B12 as directed by a physician and clinical guidelines.
• Administer medications via a metered dose inhaler.
• Conduct finger stick blood glucose testing following clinical guidelines.
• Administer a commercially prepared disposable enema ordered by a physician.
• Document medication administration or declination following clinical guidelines.
• Report and document any unusual reactions to medication in the resident's record, and communicate with the resident, family, and healthcare provider.
• Properly store and dispose of medications.
• Provide routine care such as bathing, grooming, dressing as needed.
• Complete dressing changes of skin alterations as per guidelines and physician orders, and report changes to the licensed nurse.

Skills and Abilities

• Proficient in computer use, especially Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to communicate warmly and professionally with patients, families, and staff, providing approachable and caring interactions.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Nursing Aide in Georgia.
• Certified Medication Aide in Georgia.
