Certified Medication Aide (CMA) – Jackson, NJ

Full‑Time, Part-Time & Per Diem opportunities available across multiple shifts.

Salary range: $21.00 to $26.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Provide medication administration to residents under direction of RN.
• Assist with patients’ personal hygiene: bedpans, urinals, baths, back rubs, shampoos, shaves; and help with trips to bathroom, showers, and baths.
• Support activities of daily living: serve meals, feed patients, ambulate, turn, and position patients; provide fresh water and nourishment between meals.
• Provide adjunct care: administer enemas, douches, non‑sterile dressings, surgical preps, ice packs, heat treatments, sitz baths; and apply restraints.
• Maintain patient stability: check vital signs and weight, test urine, record intake and output information.
• Ensure patient comfort: utilize resources and materials, transport patients, answer call lights and requests, report observations to nursing supervisor.
• Document actions: complete forms, reports, logs, and records.
• Maintain work operations by following policies and procedures.
• Serve and protect the hospital community by adhering to professional standards, hospital policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements, and JCHAO standards.
• Update job knowledge: participate in educational opportunities, read professional publications, join professional organizations, maintain licensure.
• Enhance nursing department and hospital reputation by taking ownership of new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value.

Position Requirements

• Proper licensing in the state of the job.
• Experience administering oral, topical, optic, ophthalmic medications and subcutaneous injections.
• Previous CMA experience and must also be a Certified Nursing Assistant.
• Multitasker, able to proceed in a courteous and professional manner.
