Job summary

High Shoals Health & Rehab in Bishop, GA is seeking a Certified Medication Aide to administer physician-ordered medications, perform point-of-care testing, and document care in residents’ records. This full-time role supports the nursing team in providing high-quality, compassionate care in a nonprofit, mission-driven setting.

Applicants must hold GA CNA and CMA certifications, have a high school diploma, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with computers, MS Office (Excel/PowerPoint) and strong organization.
• Clear verbal and written communication, professional appearance and demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Administer physician-ordered oral, ophthalmic, topical, otic, nasal, vaginal and rectal medications.
• Administer insulin, epinephrine, and B12 per physician direction and guidelines.
• Administer medications via metered dose inhaler.
• Conduct finger-stick blood glucose testing per clinical guidelines.
• Document medication administration or declination in resident records.
• Store and dispose of medications properly and safely.
• Provide routine care such as bathing, grooming and dressing as needed.
• Report changes to the licensed nurse promptly.
