We’re seeking a Certified Medication Aide to join our growing team! Reliability, trustworthiness, and consistency in attendance are essential. Responsibilities:

• Administer resident’s prescribed PO, topical (unbroken skin), and rectal medications according to physician’s orders and policies.
• Monitor and report adverse effects of medications immediately to Charge Nurse.
• Record all medication administrations accurately.
• Report medication errors promptly.
• Maintain the security of the medication cart and a hazard-free environment.
• Ensure confidentiality and privacy of residents.
• Follow infection control policies during medication administration.
• Monitor assigned medication administration.
• Notify Charge Nurse of any complaints, reactions, or changes in resident status.

Requirements:

• Current Medication Administration certification from the state.
• Ability to record information and perform technical procedures.
• Good communication skills, self-discipline, and patience.
• Proven competence in medication administration.
