We’re seeking a Certified Medication Aide to join our growing team! Reliability, trustworthiness, and consistency with regard to attendance are extremely important. Responsibilities:

• Administer resident’s prescribed PO, topical (unbroken skin), and rectal medications according to physician’s orders and policies.
• Monitor adverse effects of medications and report immediately to Charge Nurse.
• Record all medication administrations in accordance with company policy.
• Report medication errors immediately to Charge Nurse.
• Maintain the security of the medication cart and environment free of hazards.
• Maintain resident confidentiality and privacy.
• Follow infection control policies during medication administration.
• Monitor assigned medication administration.
• Notify the Charge Nurse of any complaints, reactions, or changes in resident status.

Requirements:

• Current Medication Administration certification from the state.
• Ability to record information and perform technical procedures.
• Good communication skills, self-discipline, and patience.
• Demonstrated competence in medication administration.
