Avardis Health at Arden Ridge Health and Rehab is seeking a qualified Certified Medication Aide to join a resident- and family-focused team. You will verify medications, administer doses, and support care teams to uphold safety and comfort for residents.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Verifies identity of resident receiving medication and records drug details on forms.
• Clarifies orders with supervisory nurse; notifies if decision is made not to administer.
• Takes and records vital signs when required during medication administration.
• Orders and re-orders medications in line with regulations.
• Maintains clean medication room and ensures residents do not access non-prescribed meds.
• Completes required documentation accurately and timely.
• Ensures effective interactions with patients and families.
• Ensures compliance with residents' rights policies.

Job Type: [Full-Time/Part-Time] - 12 Hour Shifts Available!

We are searching for a Certified Medication Aide to join our community that is resident, and family focused, a team builder, and excited about the opportunity to assist in building a culture. Major Responsibilities

• Verifies identity of resident receiving medication and records name of drug, dosage, and time of administration on specified forms.
• Clarifies any order or treatment regimen believed to be inaccurate, ineffective or contraindicated by consulting with supervisory nurse. Notify supervisor when making the decision not to administer.
• Takes and records vital signs upon administration of medications when required.
• Orders and re-orders medications in compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Maintains neat, clean, and orderly medication room and cart. Takes appropriate precautions to make sure residents / patient do not have access to medications other than those prescribed.
• Completes required documentation in an accurate and timely manner.
• Ensure effective interactions with patients and families.
• Ensure compliance with resident's rights policies.
• Attend and participate in care team conferences or meetings as directed by supervisor.
• Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent, or experience as required by state regulations.
• Completed 24-hour training program provided by NC Board of Nursing
• Passed a State-administered competency exam.
• You must be qualified, compassionate, and dedicated to a job well done.
