CVS Health is seeking a qualified medical coder/auditor to review and abstract provider and vendor medical records for CMS coding accuracy. You will validate risk adjustment codes against documentation and adhere to HIPAA privacy rules.

Responsibilities include auditing records, ensuring regulatory compliance, and coordinating with providers for record retrieval. A CPC or CCS-P credential with ICD knowledge and at least 1 year of related experience is required.

Qualifications

• CPC or CCS-P credential required.
• Experience with ICD coding and medical records auditing.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and coding applications.
• Minimum 1 year of related experience in medical record documentation review or auditing.

Responsabilités

• Audit and abstract provider/ vendor medical records to identify CMS ICD codes.
• Ensure codes are accurate, well-documented, and compliant with regulations.
• Conduct self-audits and ensure adherence to internal policies and CMS guidelines.
• Communicate with providers to retrieve records and coordinate audits.
