Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a full-time Medical Records Auditor to review and abstract provider and vendor records to identify CMS ICD codes and ensure accurate risk adjustment coding. The role requires coding expertise, HIPAA compliance, and strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities include auditing for accuracy, meeting deadlines, and using medical terminology to support disease etiology and manifestations. Eligible for CVS Health bonus programs and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook) and coding applications.
• AA/AS or equivalent experience and completion of AAPC/AHIMA training for CPC/CCS-P or equivalent.
• Experience with ICD coding and medical record documentation review and auditing.

Responsibilities

• Audit and abstract provider and/or vendor medical records to identify ICD codes submitted to CMS.
• Validate codes used for risk adjustment are accurate, documented, and compliant with regulations.
• Adhere to timelines, perform self-audits, and handle patient data per HIPAA.
