Job summary

Texas Oncology seeks a Certified Medical Physicist to join the San Marcos, TX team. The successful candidate will be part of a 16-physicist group supporting nine facilities and 10 radiation oncologists in the Central Texas region.

Role entails coverage for the San Marcos center, collaboration with regional clinics, and opportunities to work with HDR, TBI, and stereo programs. Remote work options may be available as schedules permit.

Qualifications

Master's or PhD in Medical Physics from a CAMPEP accredited program
Graduate from a CAMPEP accredited residency program
ABR board certification or in the process of obtaining certification (e.g. new resident graduate)
Eligibility for a Texas license
Strong organization and oral/written communication skills

Responsibilities

All aspects of radiation oncology physics, including quality assurance and external beam clinical support.
Oversight of a busy stereotactic program, including treatment planning for intracranial SRS cases.
Collaboration and cross coverage with nearby Texas Oncology clinics, which may include HDR duties.
RSO duties and maintenance of X-ray registration, as well as maintaining compliance with all Texas Oncology guidelines and Texas DSHS regulations.
Maintenance of ABR board certification and Texas licensure.
